Job Summary:
The Seating hostess reports directly to the Restaurant Manager and is responsible for table organization, seating assignments and guest welcoming in dining venues as assigned. S/he arranges all hosting tables and is responsible for accurately up-dating, maintaining, and using SilverWhere to its fullest capacity.
Responsibilities:
• Sends hosting invitations, records RSVP’s, notifies hosts and performs all tasks related to the accurate assignment of hosting tables
• Full ownership of SilverWhere – enters reservations, assigns tables, records preferences and celebrations, and compiles data to generate accurate daily and/or periodic reports as required
• Demonstrates 100% name recognition by day 2 of each cruise
• Acknowledges guest celebrations when greeting guests (birthday, anniversary, etc.)
• Supports operational efficiency and optimal guest experience by seating guests equally among stations when possible
• Provides daily feedback to all F&B related managers
• Welcomes all guests during breakfast and lunch in the Colonnade; welcomes, assigns tables and seats guests during dinner in the Restaurant
Essential characteristics and qualities required:
• Professional and well-presented appearance (adheres to the Seabourn Look and uniform policies)
• Pleasant, outgoing personality
• Excellent communication skills; recognizes when to share pertinent information with relevant colleagues
• Demonstrates discretion and maturity; respects confidentiality as appropriate
• Strong command of the English language
• Fast and accurate computer skills
• Remains calm and professional when under pressure
• Demonstrates ability to effectively work with demanding guests and practice service recovery
• Understands and consistently represents Seabourn Culture and Values
• Able to exhibit 100% name recognition; test administered on 2 day of cruise
• Excellent knowledge of SilverWhere [Training will be conducted on board]
• Effective planner and organizer; able to multi-task under pressure
4 months on 2 months off an paid in Euros 1783.75 per month.
