Localização: Descrição:We are seeking a talented Senior Sys Admin to manage our Systems Support Team. We are looking for a top notch system administrator with experience in scripting/development, troubleshooting and automating administrative tasks. If you have strong soft and technical skills and you’re passionate for IT this is the opportunity you’re looking for.
Key Responsibilities:
• Installation, maintenance and upgrading of all connected systems and devices to include, but not limited to: PCs, Servers, Printers, SAN and NAS devices, VOIP equipment, switches, routers and access points.
• Apply policies and procedures for IT management.
• Apply all the best practices of security assurance in an IT environment.
• Support software projects with diverse workloads and software including MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Apache, Tomcat, IIS and others.
• Maintenance of the virtualization infrastructure.
• Measure performance and account for growth in the infrastructure;
• Write status reports and effectively communicate the issues and status.
• Making recommendations on technical solutions.
• Identifying technology changes or opportunities that can improve efficiency and performance.
• Planning and designing the physical deployment of a solution.
• Drive continuous improvement, in areas such as monitoring, operational task automation, continuous integration, deployments and performance tuning.
Requirements:
• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related.
• 5+ years of experience working in System Administration.
• Requires advanced to expert level knowledge and understanding across multiple IT disciplines.
• Excellent background on Linux systems, Cisco IOS and VMWare ESXi
• Familiarity with networking protocols and services, such as TCP/IP, SIP, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, SMTP, IMAP and Radius.
• Experience with versioning control systems such as Subversion.
• Good scripting and task automation skills.
• Good reporting and communication skills.
• Proactive and problem solving oriented.
• Work well under pressure
• Good team spirit
• Fluent in English.
