The Global Markets Data Solutions (GMDS) team is responsible for putting in place a clear data governance to comply with control and regulatory requirements, including a consistent approach to definition, standards, data ownership and processes throughout Global Markets. It also works on data quality, reporting and analysis.
This data approach will enable the business to put their data to work, unlocking its value to drive better client services and increase revenues, better understand and reduce costs and comply with regulations efficiently. With the on-going regulatory and market challenges facing the Global Markets business, ensuring data quality is vital for unlocking value and driving revenue increases in future.
The job holder will be responsible for overseeing all technical and operational matters related to the data quality system, working with the centralized DQ team, business stakeholders and IT project managers to drive data quality initiatives and processes.Implement DQ Rule : As Data Quality Analyst, you will work closely with the Data Managers in validating and implementing the Data Quality rules and Data Quality Indicators (DQIs) into the DQ systemRun DQ Tests and Profiling : The technical implementation of DQ Rules in the system running the initial Profiling and Data Discovery processMonitor DQ Results and provide Quality Assurance Oversight : Review quality of data entry, loads, transformations, extractions, merges, or other production jobs. This may also include the establishment and monitoring of service level agreements, communication protocols with data suppliers, and data quality assurance policiesHighlight issues to Data Owners and Data Managers : Provide a rapid alerting workflow of DQ issues to allow business to take corrective action if neededImplement Controls : On occasions when it is not possible to correct data sources after implementing improvements, a corrective ‘rule/code’ may be added to the DQ Tool for data cleansingFirst Line Support on DQ Process Issues : Dealing with day-to-day issues in relation to the DQ Tool and Process; DQ results, applied rules, reporting issues etc…Ensure continuous communication with central DQ teams : Facilitate good communication flow with the central DQ team in London and the DMDS team as a whole. Highlighting any issues or potential issues on timely mannerContribute to the implementation of improvements in the DQ system : Propose improvements to processes where needed; assist in DQ system testing, validation, feeds etc…SKILLSBachelor’s degree in IT Engineering or similar numerical degreeRelational DBMS skills across multiple platforms (SQL, relational algebra and other query tools)Knowledge in Data Warehouse and Database modellingData Quality Applications experience (i.e. Informatica, Trillium, AB Inicio etc) is a plusKnowledge in ETL and Data transformation workflow development is a plusKnowledge of Investment, Corporate Banking and Client Referential Data is a plusKnowledge of Financial products, processes and systems is also valuableExperience using Alteryx and in data visualization tools and techniques (i.e. Tableau Software, Qlikview) is a plusFluent in English is mandatoryFluent in French is a plusProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (mainly MS Excel and MS Project)Risk awarenessInnovation and resourcefulnessStrong communication & presentation skills, both verbal and writtenClient service drivenTeam player & cross cultural awarenessStrong analytical, problem solving, planning & organisational skillsAttention to detail and ability to adhere to deadlinesAvailable to a training period abroadWe have noticed that you are currently using a mobile device.
