1. Job summary: It is open from the 8th to the 19th of June of 2015 two application process to the research grant under the Project DIGISTONE.
2. Activity Purpose: The objective of this activity is to carry out all tasks associated with software and hardware development for this project. These tasks involve software development in video codecs like MJPEG, MPEG4 and H.264, RTSP, Web services, Embedded Linux Systems development, audio and video servers.
3. Grant Duration – The grants will last for 6 months and it will begin on the 1st July 2015. The grant contract may be renewed.
4. Working place – The Grant holder will develop his/her activities at the Centro ALGORITMI.
5. Working Plan and Activity Purpose: The objective of this activity is to carry out all tasks associated with software and hardware development for this project. These tasks involve software development in video codecs like MJPEG, MPEG4 and H.264, RTSP, Web services, Embedded Linux Systems development, audio and video servers, under the supervion of the principal investigator, Professor José A. Mendes.
6. Requirements for admission – a graduated person with relevant experience in image coding
(transmission embedded linux development can also be considered).
7. Selection Methods: The selection will be made (1) based on curriculum evaluation; (2) experience in software development in video codecs like MJPEG, MPEG4 and H.264, RTSP, Web services, Embedded Linux Systems development, audio and video servers. The first criteria amounts for 40% and the second criteria to 60 % of final classification.
8. Value of monthly maintenance allowance: The grant amounts to €1350
9. The Competition jury consists of the following: Professor José Mendes, Professor Jorge Cabral and Professor Paulo Cardoso.
10. Legislation and regulations: Law no. 40/2004, dated August 18 (Status of Scientific Research Fellow) Regulation of Advanced Training and Qualification of Human Resources in 2011 (http://alfa.fct.mctes.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores), published in the Official Gazette, Series II, No. 89, May 9, 2011, attached to Notice No. 10406/2011, Decree-Law no 202/2012 and Law n.12/2013.
11. Application deadline and submission of the applications: This application letter should be accompanied by the following documents: detailed CV, copies of educational certificates and other documents deemed relevant.
